SMART Recovery® provides self-help groups for individuals who want to abstain from addictive behavior such as gambling or alcohol and drug use but do not want to declare themselves powerless over their problems, turn their lives over to a higher power, get a sponsor, or attend meetings for the rest of their lives.

SMART Recovery® is not a program for people who want to cut down or use moderately. However, SMART Recovery® does not tell you what you should do with your life. Many people have begun attending SMART Recovery® meetings while engaging in addictive behavior and chosen to quit their habit later

SMART Recovery® Meetings are open to the public (with the exception of those that state CLOSED). There is no cost to attend, however a hat is passed for donations. You do not need to contact the facilitator or register prior to attending; you are welcome to just show up.
